It's not a jolt within the system, I mean it slipped from a box that's roughly 10cm in height. So any advice you could give would be very much appreciated! Update: I'd rather not send it off to be repaired because I'm only fifteen, so don't have that kind of money kicking around. The laptop experienced a small jolt before the darkness occurred, I don't know if this could be a trigger of some sort.

This happened once before: In this case, I left it for a few hours and the problem solved itself, but that hasn't happened this time around. though I highly doubt this is the cause because it was done by professionals a long time before the problem occurred. I've tried unplugging the laptop, turning it off and on again, removing the battery.
